Electro-Mechanical Musicboxes

The plan: Two paper-roll music boxes driven by a single shaft and motor, each with a piezo contact mic, routed into Ableton Live and processed independently.

The outcome: The mechanical parts work great! But are very very noisey. So the contact mics barely pick up the musicboxes, and the output sounds like a lot of horrible shakey noises. So the "hack" part went great. The "music" part, not so much.

This needs to be re-engineered with smarter gear-ratios and maybe a different motor.
