Description

echo:play is a simple playlist generator. Give it an artist that you like and it will return a list of similar artists, courtesy of the Echo Nest API. If you have a playme account, you can login, and hear a song by each artist in the playlist. If you're not logged in, you can hear 30 second samples.

Heres what it looks like:

Ugly, huh?

Features

Here are some of the awesome features of echo:play:

          • Autocompletion of artist names (Echo Nest Artist Search)

          • Lazy loading of songs and images (Jquery)

          • Audio Sample + Full Stream support (Playme API)

Bugs

Playme full stream support is a work in progress.

Only works with playme artists and songs.

Future Development

AKA, Things I was planning to do, but ran out of time

          • Allow users to add and remove artists with one click

          • Use user choices to provide better playlists later

          • Use OAuth for playme authentication
